Harvest Outdoor Ministries is equipped to teach hunter education as outlined by the Tennessee Hunter Education Program. Several times through the year, young sportsmen in diverse communities enjoy top-of-the-line hunter education weekends conducted by the Harvest team. Jon Paul and Rusty reach all learners with their innovative ideas of visual, auditory and hands-on learning.
Hunter Education students of all ages are certified as eligible Tennessee hunters upon attending nine hours of classroom training, successfully completing a 100 question written exam and meeting the marksmanship requirements at a live firing range. Thousands of students have received passing marks during Harvest sponsored hunter education courses.
Complimenting an exceptional hunter education course, enrolled students are also invited to Young Sportsman Seminars. These seminars are conducted during out-of-class hours for any interested hunters-to-be who are seeking additional tips to be used in the outdoors. Jon Paul and Rusty have a diverse repertoire of seminar topics, such as “From the Field to the Table: Maximizing Your Small Game Opportunities”, Whitetail Vocalization and Tactics” and “On Your Way to a Grand Slam.” Usually, an almost unanimous hunter education class membership participates in these optional seminars.
