An extension ministry of the Harvest Team: Now available for your Ladies’ Event is Candise Farmer, sister of Jon Paul and wife of Rusty. Candise is an avid outdoorswoman, respected by many within the hunting community. She was born and raised in Paris, Tennessee, where she developed a love for the outdoors. Over the years, the hardwoods and row crop acreage of West Tennessee have provided Candise with big and small game kills with which she has filled her freezer. Hunting along side her dad as a child and then continuing her hunting adventures as an adult, Candise has been able to accomplish some noted feats in the field of hunting. In 2004, she earned her “spot” in the National Wild Turkey Federation Records. She completed her first single-season Grand Slam (along with her dad and brother, Jon Paul) and tagged the 8th heaviest Osceola ever registered. Also in 2004, she received the Tennessee River Longbeards Grand Slam Award. She’s had several articles published in various respected outdoors publications, including Turkey Call, Turkey & Turkey Hunting, Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin’ Sportsmen, and The Christian Sportsman. She has instructed Tennessee Hunter Education Courses, been the feature in outdoor articles of The Commercial Appeal and her local newspaper, The Paris Post-Intelligencer, and she was the keynote speaker of the 2008 Ladies’ Day at the Covenant Ranch in Buchanan, Tennessee |
Although blessed with various hunting accomplishments, Candise considers the most valuable aspect of her life her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. More precious to her than memories of longbeards taken or mounts of impressive whitetail bucks is her walk with the Creator of the universe. Born into the care of committed Christian parents, Candise was exposed to Godly truths at an early age. Drawn by God’s Holy Spirit and then gloriously saved at the age of eight, Candise began a journey with Jesus which she still cherishes some thirty years later. At her home church in Paris, Candise has taught the senior high girls’ Sunday School class and been a Student Ministry Team Leader for the past thirteen years. She’s an active member of the Music Ministry, in which she serves as vocalist and the church’s keyboardist. She has completed BC 101 Level 1 of the Self-Confrontation Discipleship Course and is currently pursuing a Biblical Counseling certification through the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, both from Bethel College. She and her husband (of sixteen years), Rusty, live in Elkhorn. Candise’s hobbies include hunting (of course), gardening, cooking, spending time with family and studying with Precept Ministries International. |

*Ladies’ Night Out While the men of your community gather for a Wild Game Supper, invite their wives to a gathering just for ladies. Enlist Candise to share some aspects of hunting that may persuade some gals to venture into the outdoors and then challenge them to pursue life’s greatest purpose: a relationship with Christ. Seminars for Outdoors Expos, etc Offer a seminar at your next outdoors convention for ladies. Candise is able to present hunting tips for the novice female hunter, as well as the veteran hunters. Also, make available for men a seminar that enables them to create an interest in the outdoors for the ladies in their lives, be it daughters, moms or wives. Presentation Topics include (but not limited to): Romancing Your Wife to the Deer Stand© and What To Do If Your “Jack” is a “Jill”©. A spiritual challenge is presented with each speaking opportunity. |

*Sunday Morning Bible Study & Worship If the Harvest Team is speaking for your Sunday morning worship services and your Women’s Ministries or Student Ministries want to offer a Bible Study hour for the ladies/junior-senior high girls of the church, contact Candise.
